Who is Joe Millionaire?

Who is Joe Millionaire?

Reality TV Show: Joe Millionaire

In 2003, Fox TV created a reality TV show they entitled Joe Millionaire. The reality TV series made good following the year it was shown.  Joe Millionaire is its primary character.

The context was that a bachelor, whom they just named simply as Joe Millionaire, has just inherited several million dollars from a rich family member. And right now, is currently looking for a wife. He’ll be doing the search over national TV and all those who want to be his bride should come out and audition.

This is how women from all across America are invited, screened, and included in the show. The idea is to have Joe just pick one woman from the roster and propose to be his bride.

In the TV series, it is easy to see how women will do whatever it takes to be the wife of a millionaire. They compete with each other in terms of personality, allure, charisma, and charm.

They are willing to do everything just to end up marrying the person they all regarded as a millionaire. And they don’t even know this person they want to be with. They have never met Joe Millionaire prior to the TV series. Right then and there, the only thing the women knew about Joe is his millions. They don’t even know what his real name was.

Do you just realize how a million dollar can be a strong pull to anybody? If you tell a person you can share with him or her a million dollars by doing this thing or that, chances are he’ll think it over.

The temptation is simply too strong to just ignore the offer just like that. The same theory is applied in the Joe Millionaire TV show. In fact, one woman who participated the event had sued Fox TV because at the end of the series, it was revealed that Joe Millionaire is not a millionaire after all. He was just a lowly construction worker trying to earn a decent wage.

That reaction only shows that some people would really do anything for a million dollars – marry, lie, covet, or compete for it. Money has its classic charm that people can’t simply deny.

So if you want to be popular, likeable, and highly regarded in the society that you belong to, you have to do your best to become a millionaire. And don’t think that’s an impossible feat because it can really happen to you – you could be a millionaire just by doing only the right things. Not everyone can be as lucky as Joe Millionaire though.
